Fueled by industry insight and tremendous follow-through, it was Jesse’s experience fighting false liens in the attorney general’s office that inspired him to focus his practice on defamation law. As assistant attorney general, Jesse saw first-hand the harm caused by wrongful accusations. Jesse focuses on defamation to protect the rights of all people and their hard-earned reputations.

Attorney Haskins’ background in government regulations and passion for the truth eventually led him to agricultural law, where he advocates for sustainable and transparent food systems while dedicating the bulk of his time fighting to protect peoples’ good names in the field of defamation law.

Attorney Sharmin Hibbert brings a dynamic blend of litigation expertise and a strong commitment to justice to J Haskins Law, P.A. With extensive experience in civil litigation, criminal defense, and administrative law, Sharmin has built a reputation for her skilled representation and dedication to protecting the rights of her clients.

Sharmin’s career began as an Assistant Public Defender, where she honed her trial skills by representing defendants in over 15 jury trials, many involving serious felony charges. Her commitment to justice continued in state government, where she served as a Law Enforcement Advisor with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and later as Deputy General Counsel at the Florida Department of Health. In these roles, Sharmin provided trusted legal counsel, represented agencies in administrative hearings, negotiated state contracts, and advised on policy and legislation.

Sharmin’s background in state litigation and her dedication to truth and fairness have made her a respected voice in the legal community. Now, with her practice focused on defamation and administrative law, Sharmin is proud to join J Haskins Law, P.A., where she will continue to protect reputations and uphold the integrity of her clients.
